Broomfield School Celebrates the Coronation

We want to say a big congratulations to Broomfield School in Enfield – another partner of ECT – which was one of 15 schools around the country to be chosen to have a giant throne, designed by the children, displayed at the Tower of London. This was part of a competition connected to the Coronation, in which more than 1,000 entries were submitted. Broomfield School’s throne had a daytime scene on the front, with a night time setting on the back, along with butterflies and a corgi to pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Broomfield is hoping now that the throne has returned to the school, that the King himself will come and visit, so watch this space! The school featured on BBC London’s lunchtime news, which you can watch here:
